Antique Hand-painted Tintype in Original Sleeve (Some Scratches) square corner playing cards I didn't get to spendIt takes a close look, but our freckle faced girl here, with gold painted necklace and rings, holds a pet squirrel in her lap! And indeed, wild squirrels were not uncommon pets in the Victorian era, caught in the wild, especially as babies, and kept mostly by children. A few scratches to the surface of the tintype here, including one running across the nost of the squirrel, but still! 4" x 2 3 8" in sleeve. A few notable scratches as described above
