As smpratte discussed in his video from a while back, the Gold Star set is extremely iconic in the tcg from a collectability standpointlowest print run in the tcg, unique shiny art that exceeded the border for the first time, holo bleed on some cards, a consistent artist across all the sets/cards, good selection of Pokemon and of course, really low PSA 10 Gem Mint pops for pretty much all the Gold Stars outside of the dog trio
The condition varies from beautiful to scratched, so it will be for play
If I can Sinkhole the only land from your opening hand on my turn 2 followed by a threat, things arent looking great for you
Some Pokemon have great purple attacks, but crappy white attacks, so going into any battle can be a gamble
