Glarb, Calamity's Augur Glarb, Calamity's Augur is an early way to play off the top of your library and generally makes it easy to play the best sultai cards

So right away we see a commander that cares about enchantments

Hes curious to hear about the Goblins you encountered and otherwise bemoaning his lack of ability to talk to animals, as he really wants to see inside the mind of the bear next to him

Its powerful enough to send me looking for other Pest-generating Witherbloom cards from the main set, without necessarily needing any of them to be worthwhile on its own.The fact that Pests can be killed on cue for one life makes them perhaps the most optimal way to manage the other effects in the deck, so even if you turn your nose up at the idea of creature combat, theres plenty here to love

The Paladin is absolutely the better card due to the absurd metalcraft ability, but both should be in virtually all your equipment EDH decks
