PERE UBU - The Modern Dance LP swamp and vast atmospheres to getHighly recommended. Remastered from original tapes. Searing 1978 debut, a furiously powerful mash of industrial tinged rock and weird concret sounds. It's new wave, but not like any other new wave. Its punky spikes are punctuated by short, desolate soundscapes. It creeps, crawls, screams and whispers. Essential purchase.
