Altered Bottle in Nebular Purple, 14"h (Ben Owen III) Candlesticks The Stardust Green Matte MicrocrystallineA bottle design that is influenced by Bens time in Japan and enhanced design by altering the shape into a flask like form. With two small flat boards, Ben alters the shape shortly after making the piece on the wheel and creates the flattened design. The Nebular Purple glaze is a creation from experimenting with cobalt glazes in the wood kiln. The slow cooling of the kiln creates the light purple micro crystals along the surface. Measuring 8. 5"l x 4.
