Exene had no vocal ability at that time, and producer Ray Manzarek's added keyboards were a bit much, but the peerless power trio and the Exene John Doe songwriting tandem and harmonizing were desperately needed. A must. Mildly sordid tales by people who simultaneously condemn and participate in the demise of civilization.
